Ton held various managerial positions at the municipality of Enschede. He also worked for the same municipality in the role of programme manager for the reconstruction of Roombeek. He was also programme manager for Culture, Events and City Marketing and for the introduction of the Environment Act.

"I am happy to be that Ton will do this at our request. I wish him every success with his interim position. I am confident that he will bridge the period in a good way until the structural filling of this director position,’ said Jeroen Diepemaat (chairman of Technology Base).

The GR will soon start recruitment for this position.
