20face, 12th place KVK Innovation Top 100 2019
20face, spin-off of the University of Twente, is the highest ranked Overijssel company in the KVK Innovation Top 100 with their 12th spot.
20face equips our new access control system with the ability to gain access to our fully fenced premises through facial recognition. 20Face is a specialist in biometrics: measuring human characteristics, such as fingerprints, racial features, facial images or behaviours. With PPBM- Privacy Proof Biometrics, 20Face enables unambiguous identification of people, while guaranteeing everyone's privacy. In other words: is the person on the other side of our entrance gate really who he pretends to be?
Applications
What makes this recognition technology unique is the combination of algorithms (artificial intelligence) and blockchain. From different positions, resolutions and under extreme light conditions, it recognises individuals using a relatively small part of their face. This makes the application possibilities endless. Such as countering unauthorised use of stolen bank cards and insecurity in public places with access control. But also control when selling tickets, customised guest experiences, home automation and ‘smart cities’ where ICT and the internet ‘control the city.’
