Recordings TV programme Vroege Vogels
Part of the development of the former Twenthe airbase involved the development of a Main Ecological Structure (EHS), a network of nationwide interconnected nature areas. To this end, around 130 hectares of green space south of Technology Base were designed in such a way that biodiversity can be preserved and developed. The Vroege Vogels programme filmed all day to capture the special flora and fauna in this area, together with Wouter Borre, one of the participants of the Space53 innovation cluster based at our premises.
This episode of Vroege Vogels filmed, among other things, how current drone techniques can contribute to wildlife management. Using the drone with thermal camera, a lot of special wildlife was spotted. Besides roe deer and hares, of course, also the skylark and its small nest with several young.
