Twente Safety Campus is the meeting place for safety innovation and development. Fire brigades, police, emergency services such as the GHOR, education and industry work together with many partners there. Teams from various European countries are trained for large-scale disasters and leading, innovative safety concepts are developed in close cooperation with the University of Twente, Saxion and companies. 

As an industrial design firm, Dynteq helps other companies develop functional products with a technical challenge. Very early on, Dynteq saw the potential of Technology Base. They therefore developed their new premises together with the area managers.

JFD Global (formerly JFD Ortega) manufactures ‘Swimmer Delivery Vehicles’, which are designed with the aim of transporting divers quickly and comfortably. Divers are rather limited in their speed and range and can carry very few materials. The new generation dive boat reaches speeds of up to 15km/h above and below water and features large cargo spaces and a considerable range due to innovative battery applications. An important aspect of the design is that JFD Ortega uses the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality glasses. This makes the design of the submarines more visual and allows them to test the ergonomics before production.
